All About Computers
Since this aims to be an IT website, here's our main selection of IT related guides, tutorials and howtos regarding mordern, and past computing. Mostly focusing on Windows topics, we've also included some basic Linux guides for you to :)
Windows is by far the most annoying, yet popular operating system available today. So it makes sense to kick things off with all things Windows.
This section focuses on the Windows operating system, from installation issues, to choosing the right one - and even how to get the very best,
most stable performance out of your system.
Naturally, Windows requires an array of software in order for it to actually be useful. We've included this section to show you some of out favourite
software packages here at The Serpent, and common issues we have with them. Needs more lines to make the format look ok? could this be? Thats really
weird if it is. Strange ha?
No proper IT site can be complete without offering people alternatives. Here, we have as much information as we could lay our hands on when it comes
to working with Linux. Since it's still very new for most people (despite UNIX actually pre-dating Windows!), we've started off basic, though we'll
through some pretty interesting ones in there for you too.
A new addition to The Serpent, this section covers common programming tasks mostly aimed at beginner and intermediate coders. We cover C++, PHP and various other
web languages. Also an introduction to socket programming for Windows and Linux, taken from the HTTPHack socket project.
